The St. John Congregation will again be celebrating Compassion Sunday on Mother’s Day. We have packets available with pictures and information about children all over the world who are waiting for sponsors. Please consider making the commitment to sponsor a child. As you exchange letters, send photos and offer encouragement in Jesus’ name, your love will bring hope to a child that will last a lifetime. For $38.00 a month you can do something concrete to bring people out of poverty and demonstrate the love of God in Jesus Christ.

Compassion’s ministry is focused on the individual child and his or her development. By working holistically with individual children to address their spiritual, economic, social and physical needs, they present every child with an opportunity to become responsible and fulfilled Christian adults. What happens in the life of a child ripples throughout their environment now and in the future.

Help us to update our information: We also want to recognize the 25 individuals, families, and groups who already sponsor children through Compassion or another organization. We will be updating the map in the walkway and you are invited to update the picture of your child. You can give or send a copy of your most recent picture to me. Please make sure you include your name and the child’s name and country of residence. I will get the picture back to you after scanning it.
