Members of ELCA congregations in the area are invited to a conversation about race, ethnicity, and culture, using the ELCA’s social statement, Freed in Christ. We will be guided by materials prepared by the Church in Society and the Multicultural Ministries Units of the EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH IN AMERICA. While the social statement was adopted in 1993, and the study material was revised in 2008, this remains a timely topic that continues to need attention. Whether you have never read the social statement, studied it in depth decades ago, or recently perused it, you are invited now to engage with others in this conversation.

6:30-8:00 p.m., Thursdays, October 19, 26, November 2, 9, at St. John Lutheran Church, 302 N. Parker Drive, Janesville.

For more information or to register, (so that we can have materials prepared) please call the congregation office, 752-3159.
