Drop off new, UNWRAPPED toys in the St John Lutheran Church Narthex for children in need in our community.
Beginning on December 16th through December 19, ECHO will be setting up for their annual Christmas Toy Drive and Distribution. Last year ECHO provided 566 children with Christmas toys. ECHO also distributed Christmas trees and decorations to 107 families who otherwise would not have been able to afford these holiday extras. Unwrapped toys and gifts for babies through teens and cash gifts (ECHO will do the shopping!) are all welcome! Please place your gifts in the giant red gift box in the Narthex or make your check out to “St John Lutheran Church” and mark “ECHO Toy Drive” in the memo line (checks may be dropped in the collection plate or mailed to the church office). This will also make your gift eligible for matching fund grants.
The Distribution will be held on December 20th, 2019 at St John Lutheran Church in Friendship Hall. Snow Day – Saturday, December 21
(Preregistration from Mon., Oct. 28 – Mon., Dec. 16 at ECHO is required for participation in program. Must bring photo ID, current utility bill, and proof of income for the entire household.)
Many volunteers are needed. If you would like to be a Santa’s helper or help with set-up, please call Fran at 754-5333 to schedule a time. Holiday wrapping paper is needed and can also be dropped off along with the toys.
