Our synod will be electing a new bishop at our synod assembly, May 5-6, 2018 and we will be saying farewell to Bishop Mary. On Saturday, May 5, at our Synod Assembly, there will be a farewell reception celebrating her five years of service as bishop of the South-Central Synod of Wisconsin. This will be the only farewell reception hosted by the synod in Bishop Froiland’s honor. All attendees at the assembly are already registered for the banquet and should not register again.

This invitation is for anyone wishing to participate in this evening of celebration and gratitude. If you are not already registered, please register by April 14 by calling the synod office at 608-270- 0201 and a staff member will be happy to help you. Your choices for dinner are chicken, fish, or vegetarian entrée. Special dietary needs of Gluten Free or Dairy free can also be accommodated. There is a cost of $35.00 to attend the banquet.

You are also invited to send Bishop Mary a card. If you wish to include a monetary gift, cash or checks, made payable to Mary Froiland, can be enclosed with your card. These will be gathered unopened and presented to her as a surprise at the banquet. We hope you will join us in saying farewell to a leader who has left her mark as she led our synod with integrity, faithfulness, transparency, authenticity, kindness and grace.
