Pastor’s Discretionary Fund

As this year moves to a close and deep into winter, the requests for assistance have become more frequent. The Pastor’s Discretionary Fund, which is used to assist those in need of emergency help, is not funded by our general offering; only special gifts designated to this account are used for this purpose. If you are able to make a donation, no matter how small, it would be a great kindness and a generous gift to those who come to our congregation in need. We will accept gifts to this fund at any time during the year.

Leaf Scholarship Fund

The Foundation would like to remind our members that this scholarship fund is available from the Foundation to assist students who attend colleges associated with the ELCA. Scholarship applications are available in the church office for anyone from the congregation who is attending or contemplating attending a Lutheran Church school. We would also encourage contributions to this fund to assist and encourage our young people to pursue their education in a church- based setting. Currently, there is approximately $4600 in available funds.

JUST A REMINDER:

Any contributions that you wish to have recorded on your contribution statement for 2019 MUST be in the church office before 9:00 a.m. on December 31, 2019. The office will be closed at noon on December 31, 2018. Any contributions received after 9:00 a.m. on the 31st will be credited to your 2020 statement of contributions.
