The Social Ministry Planning Group develops programs of concern for social issues affecting the immediate community, the nation and the world.

Social Ministry lifts up the needs contained in the Social Statements of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Some goals of the Social Ministry Planning Group involve developing ways to involve aging and disabled persons in the full life of the congregation; encouraging members to regularly visit and support the shut-ins, encourage barrier free access to our building and aids for seeing and hearing impaired persons, and providing educational opportunities for the congregation on social issues for the involvement of each member.
