Rally day will not be just for Sunday School students this year! Since Rally Day is on 9-11 this year we will be doing something special. The ELCA, our nationwide church, has set aside this Sunday as “God’s Work – Our Hands Sunday”.

We are asking member of the congregation to bring cookies, cupcakes, brownies, or any baked goods or fruit such as apples, oranges, or bananas to church with them that morning. During the Education Hour after service, we will be making gift boxes with the food we received (and having snacks of our own!). Then we will deliver them to the Police Department and the Fire Station to thank the police officers, firefighters, and paramedics for their service, which is part of God’s work. So please join us for treats, fun and service at 10:15 am on September 11 th !
